I sometimes wonder if it might not be better to be as stupid as can be or “dumb as a post” than intelligent.

Is there less suffering then? No not really. Just (of) a different variety.

Is there more joys? Perhaps to Both.

My personal thoughts are this:
I think the smartest people (or is that wisest?) that have simple pleasures might be the “better off” ones because they know what is truly needed or necessary for what is The Good Life.

In my thinking and my beliefs too, I think living simpler means making do, to not worry about possessions or status symbols (designer clothing, cars, houses) and to live simpler and as much as possible closer to the earth.

If we are urban dwellers we still can have gardens, some in NYC have chickens! Yards with gardens instead of manicured lawns and if you cannot garden shop locally. Buy locally grown produce. Know where your clothing comes from, what it is made from. The impact on the earth, its people. Recycle, reduce and reuse is I think common sense. Many do not have sense and others state to me “Sense is not all that common.”

Upcycling is a trend and one I shall be incorporating into a home-based business I will be starting soon. Recycling too will be part of this business.

I want to Live Simply. I want to Live in what to me is a comfortable manner. I imagine what that means to me would seem quite uncomfortable or lacing in supposed everyday items and/or luxuries. To each their own.

I do know in my new lifestyle and life, I will need to make ends meet and I hope to do so through various ways that are of Help to Others, whilst caring for my ‘lil” family and allowing me to be there for my daughter. She is going to need me awhile yet.
A good young woman and one that is so Not typical of teens and lazy is not ever what I would call her. She in fact intends to be a full part of any business I start.

I find many whom choose a Simpler much less traditional Lifestyle are quite creative in how they earn money. Some even use a bartering system. I think it most wise.

I intend to get ever so creative and have several irons in my fires of “Jobs” and businesses. Not just one, but many. In the time “free” to me I will be educating myself in other areas as well as Writing a book or two.

I hope to connect with others who are of a similar mind set and who are making do and Making Things. Community and Connections are important as is support from those who have come before us.

Adventures Await! I am ready for them, even if sleep likes to play tricks with me.
