Dreams In Thyme
Perfectionism is a neurosis. It is an illness. And the more you try to become perfect, the more frustrated you will become. The goal of perfection has led the whole of humanity towards madness; the earth has almost become a madhouse. I don’t teach perfection. What do I teach? I teach wholeness, not perfection. Be whole; be total; but don’t think about perfection.

Don’t move the way fear makes you move. Move the way love makes you move. Move the way joy makes you move.

‎Don’t seek, don’t search, don’t ask, don’t knock, don’t demand - relax. If you relax, it comes. If you relax, it is there. If you relax, you start vibrating with it.

When you open up to the ultimate, immediately it pours into you. You are no longer an ordinary human being - you have transcended. Your insight has become the insight of the whole existence. Now you are no longer separate - you have found your roots.

The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love. It may look paradoxical to you, but it is not. It is an existential truth: only those people who are capable of being alone are capable of love, of sharing, of going into the deepest core of the other person - without possessing the other, without becoming dependent on the other, without reducing the other to a thing, and without becoming addicted to the other. They allow the other absolute freedom, because they know that if the other leaves, they will be as happy as they are now. Their happiness cannot be taken by the other, because it is not given by the other.

Yes, when the drop falls into the ocean, it is certainly dying in one sense, it is dying as a drop. And in another sense the drop attains for the first time to the great life—it lives as the ocean.
